Through a unique member-advised charitable grant program called Thrivent Choice®, members of Thrivent Financial are helping support enrolled 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations across the country, including The Power House.
Thrivent Choice gives eligible members the opportunity to recommend where some of Thrivent Financial’s charitable outreach funds go by directing Choice Dollars®. Members can choose to direct Choice Dollars to enrolled 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, including churches, camps, schools and other nonprofit organizations.
Thanks to Thrivent members, The Power House can now receive donations through Thrivent Choice grant funding.
In 2015, more than 313,700 benefit members recommended where Thrivent should distributed more than $54.2 million of charitable outreach funds by participating.
“Our organization is membership-owned and member-governed,” said Brad Hewitt, CEO. “Thrivent Choice is designed to let members recommend where Thrivent Financial distributes part of its charitable outreach dollars each year and feel more personally involved in Thrivent decision-making.”

Think about an unmet need at The Power House and how you could help. Apply to lead your volunteer team in a one-time fundraiser, service activity or educational event that can be completed within 90 days. Once your project is approved, you'll receive a Thrivent Action Kit, including:
  • Promotional banner.
  • Invitations and thank-you cards.
  • Thrivent Action Team T-shirts.
  • A $250 Community Impact Card you can use as seed money to purchase project supplies and create promotional materials.
