The Power House is a member of the Better Business Bureau. As a nonprofit organization we meet all twenty Standards of Charity Accountability set forth by the Better Business Bureau. You may review our Better Business Bureau report by clicking the BBB logo to the right.
The Power House was established in 1995, became incorporated in May 1997, and received nonprofit status in November of 1997. During this time of operation we have welcomed over 4,000 teen members.
We are governed by a Board of Directors and an Advisory Council. Both of these bodies of headship provide vision, leadership, and support to the staff. The members of these groups work within a job description and operate in a volunteer capacity. Lists of our current Board of Directors and Advisory Council are available.
We are pleased to share an organizational overview yearly through our Annual Report. This report highlights programming, membership, volunteers, donors, and financials for the previous calendar year.
We strive to operate our programs and center in the most effective and efficient manner possible. This includes outside support of experts in the accounting field to complete our taxes and audit. We have chosen to conduct an Auditor’s Review every year with a full Audit every three years. This provides our organization with a financial checks and balance system. We have available our Current Financial
Statements, and our Form 990 for your review.
